Professional Background & Experience
Carlos Guillén is a seasoned civil engineer with over a decade of experience in land development and construction management. He has a strong track record of guiding projects from initial design through final close-out, ensuring each development aligns with client goals, budgets, and schedules.

Carlos has led a wide range of projects across the Pacific Northwest and Texas, supporting clients through feasibility, design, permitting, and construction. His clear communication and coordinated work with architects, surveyors, contractors, and agencies help projects meet regulatory requirements and move efficiently toward approval and completion.

His hands-on field experience and proactive, solutions-driven approach have contributed to the successful and cost-effective delivery of residential, commercial, and public works developments.

Carlos founded Keystone Engineers to bring a personalized, relationship-driven approach to civil engineering. 

After years of supporting land development projects across the region, he saw the need for a firm built on hands-on experience, clear communication, and practical problem solving qualities that guide the firm today.

Keystone Engineers reflects his belief that successful projects grow from trust, collaboration, and a genuine understanding of client needs. As a firm, Keystone Engineers strives for precision, responsiveness, and solutions that support successful project outcomes.

Personal Life

Outside the office, Carlos’s greatest pride is his family, his wife and their two young children, who inspire him every day.  That same desire to support and uplift others extends into his passion for education. He is a firm believer in the transformative power of learning and actively mentors high school and college students pursuing STEM degrees, reflecting his commitment to giving back and supporting the next generation of engineers.

 When he isn’t designing site plans or mentoring future engineers, Carlos enjoys biking, hiking, exploring waterfalls, fishing local rivers and lakes, and traveling with his family to discover new places and landscapes.
